Hi, I am a descendant of William Lockyer and his wife Anne Martin. They were married 10th April, 1812 in Othery, Somersetshire, England. Their son Edward Lockyer, born 3 March 1816, in Zions Chapel, Othery, Somersetshire, England, migrated to Australia with his family about 1868. His children are as follows: Charlotte, Ann, John, Andrew, William, Robert, Elizabeth, Mary, Charles, Edward, Frederick, Joseph with two unnamed children born in Australia.
My direct line is through John Lockyer who married Amy Elizabeth Jane Chandler in St. Peters in Armidale, New South Wales on 25th October 1880. Their son Walter is my grandfather.
I have been trying to track this family for many years with little luck and so I decided to start a blog to see if anyone anywhere will find it and contact me.
